Rangers manager Ally McCoist has reportedly handed over one million shares to supporters' club the Calderwood Loyal in East Kilbride ahead of Thursday's annual general meeting.
The 51-year-old could complicate his relationship with the board further by deciding to keep a promise to give under 3% of Rangers' stock to his local supporters' club.
McCoist said that he would give the club, which his late father was a member of, the stake when he first took control of the shareholding last year, according to the Daily Record.
The proxy vote is expected to be used against the board in the meeting on Thursday.
The East Kilbride club are members of the Rangers Supporters' Association, who are against finance director Brian Stockbridge and James Easdale being re-elected.
