Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale is reportedly considering stepping into Mesut Ozil's shoes at the Bernabeu in more ways than one, after viewing his house in search of a new residence.
Bale is on the hunt for a new home after completing a world-record move to Madrid two weeks ago, with the Spanish capital's La Moraleja district thought to be his location of choice.
The Welshman's search has led him to look at Ozil's £1m pad in that region after the German playmaker placed his property on the market, according to The Mirror.
Ozil has put his Spanish home up for sale following a £42.4m deadline-day switch to Arsenal, but will also consider renting the property out at the right price.
Bale's lawyers are thought to be negotiating a deal for the place, which would make him neighbours with new Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo if it goes through.
