Team GB diver Tom Daley has revealed that he helped design the kit for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro amid concerns that he could suffer a wardrobe malfunction.
The 22-year-old was unimpressed with the fit of the trunks handed out to GB divers competing at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and decided to work with designer Stella McCartney and manufacturer Adidas to get it right this time around.
"You need everything to be kept in place," Daley told The Sun. "You don't want things falling out in particular places because there are cameras everywhere.
"I actually worked with Stella and Adidas to come up with the design. In 2008 and 2012, the cut wasn't quite right. So now they have the cut right for what a diver needs.
"You'll be happy to know that everything now stays in place."
Daley is hoping to improve on his bronze medal from 2012 when he competes in the 10m platform event in Rio.
