Non-league outfit Goole AFC have sacked captain Karl Colley for aggressively confronting a fan after being sent off in their Evo-Stik League clash with Coalville Town.
As Colley, 30, left the field of play having been shown a red card, the defender seemed to take offence to a dissenting member of the crowd.
Video footage shows Colley make three attempts to challenge the fan in the stand, appearing to throw a punch at him on the second occasion.
A statement published on Goole's official website on Saturday evening confirmed that the player has been released and that he will 'never play for the club again', describing his actions as "deplorable".
Colley's dismissal from Goole comes exactly one year after he was sacked by Belper Town for allegedly punching teammate Matt Millns in training.
In a bizarre players-behaving-badly coincidence, it is also exactly 19 years since Eric Cantona infamously aimed a kung-fu kick at a supporter during a Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Manchester United at Selhurst Park.
