Villarreal and Portugal defender Ruben Semedo has reportedly been arrested for allegedly "tying up, hitting and holding an individual inside his house".
Semedo has played just five times for Villarreal so far this season, with his career in Spain having been blighted by injuries since his summer move from Sporting Lisbon.
However, the 23-year-old has also been at the centre of a number of serious off-field issues, including two notable run-ins with the law in recent months.
Semedo is alleged to have carried a firearm at a nightclub in Valencia in November, and smashed a man over the head with a glass bottle in a separate incident.
The latest allegation is even more serious, though, with Marca citing a report in Las Provincias which claims that the Portugal Under-21 international and two other men tied up, beat and detained a man at Semedo's chalet in Valencia.
The complainant also claims that he was locked in a room after being subdued while Semedo and his alleged accomplices stole his keys, broke into his apartment and carried out large-scale theft.
It is also claimed that a gun was used in the incident and fired twice in an attempt to intimidate the victim.
