Tributes pour in for former Wales manager Gary Speed on the fourth anniversary of his death.

Tributes from the football world were paid to former Wales manager Gary Speed on the fourth anniversary of his death.

The ex-Leeds United and Newcastle United midfielder was found hanged at his home on November 27, 2011 at the age of 42.

Chris Coleman, who replaced Speed as Wales manager following his tragic death, managed to guide the team to the European Championships, their first major tournament since 1958, in September.

Below, Sports Mole has gathered a handful of tributes to Speed.

The Football Association of Wales released a statement, which read: "The qualification achievements of his friend and successor Chris Coleman along with the Wales squad is a fitting tribute to his memory.

"At this time we also remember Gary's family and their loss. We know that football fans in Wales, the UK and around the world will share these sentiments."

"Four years on from his tragic passing, today we remember the great Gary Speed. Never forgotten."
Leeds United

"Four years ago today, the football world lost a true great. RIP Gary Speed, gone but not forgotten."
Everton

"Four years since a young, successful, popular guy left us and his family in the most shocking circumstances. We must try and tackle depression."
