Sportswear giants Adidas have revealed plans to celebrate the release of the official World Cup ball.
The Germany-based company will unveil the 'Brazuca' on Tuesday - three days before the draw for the tournament is made in Bahia - and have promised that every baby born in Brazil on the same day will get one for free.
The campaign is modelled on the colloquialism that every Brazilian is born with a football at their feet.
To claim the freebie, parents must present their child's birth certificate at an Adidas store in one of the 12 host cities.
"We know how important the World Cup is to Brazil and we have found it fit to present this most Brazilian of balls to those who inspired its creation," said an Adidas spokesperson.
The name 'Brazuca' was chosen by the Brazilian public, beating 'Bossa Nova' and 'Carnavalesca' with 77.8% of the vote.
