There have been demonstrations in Brazil ahead of the opening game of the Confederations Cup.
Around 200 people burned tyres and blocked the road outside the Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha in Brasilia.
FIFA spokesman Pekka Odriozola told ESPN: "We respect fully the right of everybody to protest. We are monitoring the situation. We are in touch with the local authorities.
"We fully trust the local authorities and we have full confidence in what they are doing, they are ready for any circumstance."
Protesters are unhappy at the rising costs of hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the rehearsal tournament, which gets underway later today when Brazil take on Japan.
