The Qatar bid committee has "vehemently" denied the latest allegations of corruption surrounding the decision to award them the World Cup in 2022.
It had been claimed by the Sunday Times that the former FIFA official Mohammed Bin Hammam had given money to football dignitaries in return for their support during the bidding process.
As a result of those accusations, reports have suggested that FIFA may be forced to reconsider Qatar's position as the host nation, but in a statement, the committee behind the original proposal have insisted that they will do all that they can to prove their innocence.
"[We] remain totally confident that any objective enquiry will conclude we won the bid to host the World Cup fairly," read the statement.
"[We] vehemently deny all allegations of wrong-doing. We will take whatever steps are necessary to defend the integrity of Qatar's bid."
The Qatari bid beat those from the United States, South Korea and Australia to host the tournament.
