A racehorse belonging to Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney finished last at a race in Chester this afternoon.
The two-year-old colt called Pippy, competing for the first time, struggled from the outset in the Manor House Stables Lily Agnes Stakes.
It failed to recover under the guidance of jockey Richard Lingscote, before going on to end the race in last spot.
Prior to the race, Pippy had been well backed at odds of around 9/1.
Rooney reportedly paid around £60,000 for the horse.
