Nigel Twiston-Davies's serial non-starter Mad Moose has been banned from racing.
The 10-year-old gelding has refused to race or tailed off in four of his last eight outings.
As a result, he has been forbidden from competing by the British Horseracing Authority.
Mad Moose finished as runner-up to top steeplechaser Sprinter Sacre on Festival Trials Day at Cheltenham last year.
The BHA will review the horse's situation in nine months.
