The manager of Australian racehorse Black Caviar has insisted that the mare "can get better".

The six-year-old is currently unbeaten from her 24 races, including two victories in 2013.

However, Neil Werrett has admitted that after a conversation with trainer Peter Moody, he is "excited" about the year ahead.

"When I spoke to [Moody] after yesterday's gallop he said that she's never worked better and he was more excited than ever," he said. "It's quite daunting to think that she can get better when she's a six-year-old mare and already mature."

Black Caviar will next compete at the TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick on Saturday afternoon.
