The 16-times champion jockey Tony McCoy will make a return to racing at Warwick on Thursday.
McCoy fractured ribs and punctured a lung during a fall at Taunton on December 30 and has been sidelined since the incident.
The 37-year-old told the Racing Post: "I saw the doctor and he was very happy with all my scans and was happy with my ribs and my lung, so I am pleased.
"It was not a case that I would have liked to have come back sooner. I would not have been able to come back sooner as I broke quite a few ribs and punctured my lung."
McCoy is currently leading the championship with 174 victories.
