Bradford Bulls supporters' trust BullBuilder set up a fund to help the 16 members of staff who were made redundant at the club last week.

Fans of the Bradford Bulls have set up a hardship fund to help the staff who were made redundant at the financially-stricken club.

Head coach Mick Potter was one of 16 non-playing staff who lost their jobs last week in order to stop the club going into liquidation.

Potter and two of his assistants returned on a voluntary basis ahead of the Bulls' 44-12 win over the London Broncos on Sunday, and the Bradford supporters' trust BullBuilder have decided to return the gesture of goodwill by setting up the fund.

"We were concerned to do our best to ensure that their commitment to the Bulls' cause would not lead to financial hardship on their part," said BullBuilder spokesman Mike Farren.

"We guarantee that the fund will be ring-fenced for the specific purpose of helping these individuals and will be returned to the contributor if not used in this way."

The trust have also given their support to Bradford's academy players, funding the trip to play Hull KR this weekend.
