Castleford Tigers have confirmed the signing of second-rower Weller Hauraki from Super League rivals Leeds Rhinos.
The 27-year-old has been tracked by several clubs since he was omitted from Leeds's Challenge Cup final team.
Tigers coach Ian Millward moved first to snap up the former Crusaders forward and believes his new recruit has 'the full package'.
Millward said: "I was on the look-out for a second rower with a strong presence both on and off the field and I believe Weller offers the right qualities to fulfil this role.
"His experience and exceptional attacking qualities will provide us with great stability and composure on the field, as well as a role model for the younger, less-experienced players on the team.
"He ultimately gives us an overall package that is going to add a lot to the side next season. I look forward to working with him."
The New Zealander is Castleford's seventh signing of the summer, with Lee Gilmour, Michael Shenton and Jake Webster among the other arrivals.
