Castleford Tigers head coach Daryl Powell has hailed his team after seeing them earn a 30-22 victory away to Hull Kingston Rovers in Super League.
The Tigers became only the second side to win at Hull this season on Friday as they left the KC Lightstream Stadium with the spoils.
Castleford scored 24 of their points during the first half, but Powell believes that holding off a Rovers fightback after the break was more impressive.
"The pleasing thing is we had a real tough second half to ride through and we came through it," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "It certainly wasn't pretty but nobody will remember that at the end of the season.
"It was about winning. It was a real key game for us. You could see it meant a fair bit to both teams. It was a good result for us, it's a tough place to come."
Castleford continue their Super League campaign on Thursday when they travel to Leeds Rhinos.
