Huddersfield Giants manager Paul Anderson is looking to strengthen his squad following the departure of Luke O'Donnell.
Ukuma Ta'ai took the forward's place during last weekend's 36-6 win over London Broncos but Anderson is not ruling out bringing in a like-for-like replacement for the Australian.
"We're throwing names around at the minute. What it does is free up fair amount of salary-cap space," PA quotes him as saying.
"We're going through the process of seeing what's the best thing for us. Do we want to bring someone else in like for like or do we want to strengthen other areas?
"We have a quality squad any way and now have the ability to wait and see if anything falls off the tree either over here or in the NRL."
Anderson is expected to sign for Sydney Roosters after being released from his Giants contract with one year remaining.
