Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson has claimed that his side were "pretty average" during their 40-26 win over Castleford Tigers in Super League.
The Giants remain on course for the semi-finals after earning a high-scoring victory at the John Smith's Stadium last night.
Despite a third win in four games for his team, Anderson believes that their performance was lacking in consistency.
"I thought we were pretty average to be honest," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "There was every emotion going. In patches we showed some brilliance and some of the tries we scored were ridiculous but there was also some stupidity.
"There were some real good things in there but some we need to work on. It's two points which I'm really happy with and we're four in front a very spirited Cas. We're third and we've got to make sure we stay there, it's semi-finals all the way home now."
Huddersfield return to Super League action on September 13 when they host Warrington Wolves.
