A strong second-half performance has helped Huddersfield Giants to a 30-12 win over Wigan Warriors in the Super League this evening.
Wigan struck first through an Andy Powell try in the third minute of the game, but there was little between the sides in the first half, which ended 12-12.
Brett Ferres gave the visitors the lead for the first time in the match shortly after the restart, while the Warriors struggled to capitalise on a series of penalties.
The visitors managed to prevent their opponents from adding to their half-time score, while tries from Simon Grix and Aaron Murphy, along with a clinical kicking display from Danny Brough, allowed Huddersfield to extend their advantage.
The result leaves Huddersfield three points clear of Wigan at the top of the table.
