Huddersfield Giants have continued their playoff challenge with a 30-20 victory over Salford City Reds this evening.
The Giants started well, taking the lead after just seven minutes through Jermaine McGillvary before Brett Ferres extended their advantage in the 22nd minute.
Salford responded and took the lead through tries from Vinnie Anderson and Jodie Broughton, only for Greg Eden and Jason Chan to swing the match back into Huddersfield's favour.
Sean Gleeson gave the hosts a flicker of hope by touching down with 20 minutes left, but a Michael Lawrence try in the 77th minute ended Salford's hopes of a comeback.
