Leeds Rhinos forward Carl Ablett has insisted that his side's desire to win the Challenge Cup is just as strong as it was 12 months ago.

The Loiners lifted the crown last year for the first time since 1999, in which time they had lost six finals.

Despite ending 15 years of near misses, Ablett admits that prevailing at Wembley once again will feel just as special this time around.

"Each year's the same, I don't think you want it any more or any less, if you've won it or not won it," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "It's the Challenge Cup and you don't get many opportunities to win these trophies.

"We got a taste of it last year, but we've got the same desire this year as we had before we won it. It's about wanting to win as many trophies as you can. We are two games away from a final, so it's not that far away."

Leeds take on Hull FC in the quarter-finals of the competition this evening.
