Brett Delaney has targeted success in the Challenge Cup as a tribute to crocked Leeds Rhinos teammate Jamie Jones-Buchanan.
The back-rower was stretchered off with a knee injury during the Loiners' 24-14 semi-final win over St Helens.
Jones-Buchanan, who had just returned after shaking off a niggling hamstring injury, now looks likely to miss the remainder of the campaign.
Delaney has vowed to go all the way in the domestic cup competition, telling the Daily Star: "Poor Jonesy, he is an absolute warrior but he has had no luck at all this year.
"He is as tough as houses and mentally strong and hopefully he has a speedy recovery and is back before the end of the year. But if he doesn't make the final, then I would love to win it for Jonesy. He's a proper legend."
Leeds will face Hull Kingston Rovers in the August 29 final at Wembley Stadium.
