Ali Lauitiiti has confirmed that he will be leaving Leeds Rhinos at the end of the current season.

The 32-year-old has become the Rhinos' most successful overseas players of all time since joining in 2004, winning four Grand Finals and two World Club Challenges.

However, the former New Zealand forward has struggled to hold down a first-team place in recent months and has decided that the time is right for a new challenge.

"My time at Rhinos has been the best years of my rugby career and I am honoured to have played for such a great club," Lauitiiti told the club's official website.

"I am looking forward to playing my part for the squad over the next few months so we finish the season on a high and I will leave having made friends for life.

"I want to remain in the Super League for next season and I am hoping to make some decisions in the near future."

Lauitiiti was not part of the Leeds squad that defeated Castleford Tigers 10-8 on Sunday.
