Kevin Sinfield’s sudden death extra time penalty earned Leeds Rhinos a Challenge Cup semi-final win over Castleford Tigers to book their place in the Wembley final against Wigan Warriors.
Sinfield kicked the Rhinos into a half-time lead, but a Rangi Chase try put the Tigers ahead.
Kirk Dixon kicked two penalties to extend Castleford’s lead and give them what seemed like the victory, before Kallum Watkin’s late converted try sent the game into extra time.
The extra period had only been played for a couple of minutes when Sinfield kicked Leeds into the final, which takes place on Saturday, August 27.
