The Catalan Dragons consolidated their top-four status in the Super League with a convincing 42-18 victory over the London Broncos.

Trent Robinson's side went into the interval with a 24-0 advantage, but were made to work for the victory in the second half.

The Dragons scored with their first genuine attack after living dangerously in the early stages. Scott Dureau's reverse pass gifted Lopini Paea a walk-in.

Dureau was the provider for the home side's second try too, finding Leon Pryce in space on 14 minutes for the former St Helens man to go over.

The visitors continuously shot themselves in the foot throughout the game, handing the Dragons penalties left, right and centre, with their opponents always on hand to punish.

Remi Casty went over after Clint Greenshields picked up a loose ball to set him up, adding to the London side's misery. Pryce claimed his second three minutes before the break.

The Broncos hit back after the interval, with Antonio Kaufusi grabbing a try and Shane Rodney kicking his second goal to narrow the deficit to just 12 points.

The Dragon's Jason Baitieri was sin-binned on 55 minutes for a late tackle on Craig Gower, with Chad Randall able to capitalise from the resulting penalty.

Any signs of a dramatic Broncos comeback were quashed shortly after when Casty grabbed his second 17 minutes from the end.

Menzies and Jamal Fakir added late tries to cap off a convincing win.
