Salford have announced the signing of St Helens' prop Carl Forster for the 2015 Super League season.

Forster, 22, spent much of last season on loan with the London Broncos and Kingstone Press Championship side Whitehaven, where his performances secured him a nomination for the Championship's Young Player of the Year award.

"Pleased to announce the signing of another young, hungry rising star of the game," Salford Red Devils owner Dr Marwan Koukash announced on Twitter.

Forster only made one appearance for the Saints last season.
