Paul Wellens has said that St Helens must build momentum to turn around their Super League season.
The team, who face Warrington Wolves tomorrow, recorded a -30-22 win over Leeds Rhinos last weekend, ending a five-game losing streak.
The club's captain, who will miss tomorrow's game through injury, told Sky Sports News: "Confidence is an issue when you lose games. You could sense turning up at training on Tuesday morning that people had a spring in their step again.
"However we are mindful that one performance isn't good enough. We need to build on it and string some victories together and build some momentum between now and the end of the season.
"We know we are playing a very good Warrington side who will be trying to back from a disappointing defeat. We're going to have to improve on our performance at Leeds."
St Helens are currently eighth in the Super League table.
