Matt Ryan has insisted that Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will play host to Warrington Wolves on Sunday afternoon with "a point to prove".
The Wildcats were stuffed 80-0 in the reverse meeting earlier this year, as the Wire ran in 14 unanswered tries.
Wakefield head into the match with just one win in their last 18 Super League outings, but Ryan is adamant that the mood in the camp is continuing to improve under the watch of Brian Smith.
"You're always going to remember it but we're a completely different team now," he told reporters. "Things have turned around since then and we'll make sure it doesn't happen again. We've a point to prove.
"Confidence is growing. We've just got to get the combinations going and the results will come. It was good to get the win against Hull.
"We're working as a team, that's what Brian's really brought in, you can't win it by yourself, you've got to do it together."
Wakefield are currently bottom of the league table, nine points adrift of Salford Red Devils in 11th place.
