Wakefield Trinity Wildcats forward Taulima Tautai has been charged by the Rugby Football League for a dangerous throw on Castleford Tigers' Scott Wheeldon.
The incident took place on Sunday during Wakefield's 26-22 defeat to Castleford in Super League.
Tautai, 26, has the option to submit an early guilty plea for the Grade B offence.
The Australian prop, who joined Wakefield in 2013, recently signed a deal with Wigan Warriors for next season.
