Wakefield Trinity Wildcats' hopes of a top-eight finish were hampered as Huddersfield Giants ran in seven tries to record a scoreline of 18-36.
Joe Wardle scored the first try inside 70 seconds, with Eorl Crabtree, Shaun Lunt, Craig Kopczak, Kruise Leeming and Jermaine McGillvary also crossing to make it 32-0 at half-time.
The Wildcats responded through two tries from Jarrod Sammut and one from Paul Sykes after the break, with Jake Connor running in Huddersfield's only second-half score.
Meanwhile, Widnes Vikings saw off fellow Super League playoff chasers Hull Kingston Rovers by a score of 28-10. The hosts led 10-4 at the break, with Jack Owens and Chris Dean scoring either side of Kris Keating's try.
Joe Mellor and Kevin Brown then went over at the start of the second half, before Jason Chan pulled a try back for Hull, but Stefan Marsh and Rhys Hanbury both went on to score and compound the win, which kept Widnes eighth in the table.
In the third game of the afternoon, Justin Carney scored a first-half hat-trick as Castleford Tigers routed London Broncos 64-18.
Olsi Krasniqi and Erjon Dollapi put the bottom side ahead by the 20th minute, either side of Luke Dorn's first try. However Castleford, who are challenging for the title, stepped it up a gear and went in 28-12 ahead at the break, thanks to Carney's treble and Scott Wheeldon's try.
The second half proved emphatic for the Tigers, as a double by Kirk Dixon, another try by Dorn, and scores for Michael Shenton, Garreth Carvell, Frankie Mariano and Adam Milner ensured a comprehensive defeat for the Broncos.
