Warrington Wolves coach Tony Smith has urged his players to show "pride" following their defeat to Castleford Tigers in Super League.
The Wolves saw their hopes of reaching the playoffs suffer a damaging blow last night as they were edged out 17-16 at The Jungle.
While it remains unclear whether they will make it into the top four, Smith has challenged his players to bounce back quickly.
"Rugby league is about going out to try your hardest to win each and every week, regardless of whether you can make finals," he told BBC Sport. "When you cross that white line you've got to play for the pride of your club and teammates.
"We've got a big fixture next week against Wigan. Regardless of whether we can mathematically make it or not, we need to go out their and perform to our best."
Warrington return to Super League action on August 21 when they entertain Wigan Warriors.
