Warrington Wolves have strengthened their grip on second place in the Stobart Super League thanks to a hard-fought win over Catalan Dragons.
Both defences put in resolute displays in the opening period but it was the home side who went ahead thanks to Ben Westwood, who pounced on a loose ball before touching down.
Brett Hodgson added the extras to give the Wolves a 6-0 half-time advantage.
Ryan Atkins cleverly kicked under the Catalan defence before skidding over for the hosts' second try 10 minutes after the interval, with Hodgson hitting the post with the kick.
The Dragons went over for their first score nine minutes later through Jason Baitieri to cut the lead to just four points.
Gareth O'Brien and then Michael Monaghan scored a goal and a drop goal respectively to push the home side's advantage back up to six points.
Catalan pushed for a late try which may have levelled the scores but Warrington were too dogged in defence and added a further two points through Hodgson.
