Australia coach Ewen McKenzie has said that Peter Betham will make his Test debut during his side's Bledisloe Cup clash against New Zealand on Saturday.
The 24-year-old will be deployed on the wing in the absence of the injured trio Joe Tomane, Chris Feauai-Sautia and Nick Cummins.
"The reality of rugby is that most players get an opportunity at the misfortune of one of their teammates, but it's about what each individual does with that opportunity that counts the most," Sky Sports News quotes McKenzie as saying.
"That doesn't just apply to Peter but to a number of guys who are receiving a chance this week. There is no better way to make your mark than by playing well against the All Blacks."
Matt Toomua and Ben McCalman have also been recalled to the Wallabies team, while Christian Leali'ifano and Scott Fardy are out with ankle and eye injuries respectively.
