James Horwill says that he is concentrating on facing the British and Irish Lions after being cleared of intentionally stamping on Alun Wyn Jones.

Australia captain James Horwill has insisted that he is fully focused on facing the British and Irish Lions this weekend after being cleared of deliberately stamping on Alun Wyn Jones two weeks ago.

The 28-year-old was cited for kicking the Welsh lock during the first Test by an independent disciplinary panel and was cleared of any wrongdoing, before the International Rugby Board decided to appeal that judgement.

The appeal was heard on Tuesday by judicial officer Graeme Mew, who agreed with Nigel Hampton's initial verdict of accidental contact based on a lack of evidence, which delighted Horwill.

"I'd like to thank both Mr Mew and Mr Hampton for hosting very fair and independent hearings," Horwill told the press on Tuesday.

"Also I'd like to thank Steve Cottrell our legal representation for assisting us in the hearing last night.

"Finally I'd like to thank the public for their support, my family and the team have been overwhelmed by the support. And now it's time to get on with football."

The series currently stands at 1-1 going into the deciding Test in Sydney on Saturday.
