Wales scrum-half Mike Phillips has reportedly been sacked by French club Bayonne for turning up to training drunk.
The 31-year-old was the subject of an internal investigation after it was alleged that he was under the influence of alcohol during a video analysis session following the recent Amlin Challenge Cup victory over Grenoble.
The incident came a year after he was suspended for 10 days for a drunken late night out.
According to Sky Sports News, the Top 14 outfit have released Phillips and are expected to confirm the decision later today.
It was also claimed that teammates Dwayne Haare and Stephen Brett were intoxicated during the team meeting, but Bayonne have decided to keep hold of the New Zealand duo.
