Tommy Bowe: 'British and Irish Lions want to win for Brian O'Driscoll'

British and Irish Lions wing Tommy Bowe says that the team want to win the final Test of their tour of Australia for Brian O'Driscoll.

Ireland and Ulster wing Tommy Bowe has said that the British and Irish Lions want to beat Australia in the final Test of their tour tomorrow for Brian O'Driscoll.

The 34-year-old has been dropped from the squad for the Sydney match, with Warren Gatland naming Alun Wyn Jones as captain.

Bowe told Sky Sports News: "Brian came and trained with the team yesterday. He spoke up and told us exactly what it meant to him again.

"I think everybody knows the disappointment that he has from not being involved but for a guy like that, such a presence he has around the squad, for him to really be rallying around the team and to really want us to push on and win the series, it is a huge motivation for us to do a job for him.

"We know exactly what we want to do, we want to get to play some rugby. We were a little bit passive in defence last week. We let Australia take the game to us so hopefully we can reverse that."

The final Test gets underway at 11.05am UK time.
