New South Wales Waratahs captain Dave Dennis has conceded that the British and Irish Lions are "a quality team" after losing 47-17 to Warren Gatland's side earlier today.
Tom Carter scored two tries for the home side, but Leigh Halfpenny added 30 points in total for the Lions.
Dennis told Sky Sports News: "We hung in there and I thought we played some good rugby.
"They're a quality team and we knew what we needed to do to go to that next level as a squad. It was a great experience for a young team. You get one chance to play in that game in your career so they didn't leave much out there.
"It was a special experience for me and for all of the boys to run out here in front of the fans and we're really trying to move forward as a club so the support means a lot to us."
The Lions face their final warm-up match against the Brumbies on Tuesday before taking part in the first Test against Australia next weekend.
