Leicester Tigers lock Geoff Parling has revealed that he felt like an imposter after joining up with the British and Irish Lions squad for the first time ever.
The 29-year-old, who is making his Lions debut on their tour of Australia, was late linking up with the squad due to his club's Aviva Premiership final triumph over Northampton Saints at Twickenham on Saturday.
Having finally finished the domestic season with his club, Parling is now fully focused on making an impact with the Lions.
"I sort of feel like an imposter really as I actually haven't played in the jersey yet and haven't really done a training session yet as the guys that were in the finals were away," Parling told Sky Sports News.
"It feels a bit strange but I am just keen to get out there and get involved."
Parling has 13 England caps to his name.
