England and Saracens centre Brad Barritt has been ruled out until after Christmas following foot surgery.
The 27-year-old has gone under the knife for a corrective procedure on his ligaments.
"Brad is a tremendously important player for us and for England, and he will be missed through the autumn, although we have talented players ready to step forward," Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall told the club's official website.
"Brad is on the road to recovery and we look forward to his return later this season."
Barritt has won 16 caps for England since making his debut last year.
