England and Harlequins scrum-half Danny Care has been fined a total of £3,100 and banned from driving for 16 months after pleading guilty to drinking and driving in the early hours of New Year's Day.
The 25-year-old was stopped by police at service station on the M3 near Winchester during the early hours of January 1.
Southampton Magistrates' Court heard earlier today that a breath test showed he had 77mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, more than twice the legal limit of 35mg.
Care has been excluded from the England squad for the upcoming Six Nations, while Quins also handed a fine to the former Leeds Tykes player.
