Chris Robshaw says that England went "all guns blazing" in the second half against Australia and were rewarded with the victory.

England captain Chris Robshaw has praised the character of his side in battling back from 13-6 down at half time to defeat Australia 20-13 at Twickenham.

The 27-year-old felt that they were unlucky to be tailing at half time but was delighted with the way his teammates responded in the second period.

It was the Harlequins flanker who scored the try that levelled the game before Owen Farrell pierced the Wallabies' defence with just over 20 minutes remaining.

"We went out we started well, but lost a bit of momentum in that first half and they scored a try probably against the run of play," Robshaw told Sky Sports News.

"But the endeavour from the guys was great - we came out for the second half and played well - the fans were brilliant and we gave them something to shout about and they spurred us on.

"We addressed our intensity and physicality and we came out all guns blazing after half time."

Argentina visit Twickenham for another Autumn International next week.
