Chris Robshaw: 'England will get better'

England captain Chris Robshaw insists that his side will improve following their narrow loss to New Zealand.

England captain Chris Robshaw has insisted that his team will improve following their defeat to New Zealand in Auckland on Saturday.

The tourists were beaten 20-15 in the first of three Tests against the All Blacks as a late try from Conrad Smith saw the home side come out on top.

Despite the narrow loss for England, Robshaw insists that the players will not allow the result to dampen their spirits.

"We know it's not an easy place to come and play, but that's the belief we've got in this squad; we believe this is the best place to come and challenge ourselves and we showed that today," he told Sky Sports News.

"We are going to get better and better, we're going to push ourselves, but it's a three-Test series and we'll be back next week.

"You can't switch off, it's an 80-minute game, but I'm really proud of the boys, everyone put their hand up today."

England travel to Dunedin next Saturday to face the All Blacks in the second Test of the series.
