England centre Henry Slade has admitted that his international debut was an "awesome experience".
Stuart Lancaster's side beat France 19-14 at Twickenham, and Slade played his part as he set up Jonny May for England's third try of the night.
He told Sky Sports News: "It was everything I imagined. It was an awesome experience. All sorts of emotions went through my head in the first five minutes. Once I settled down, I really enjoyed it."
Slade is one of six centres trying to make Lancaster's World Cup squad.
