England flanker James Haskell tells Sports Mole that his side's Rugby World Cup showdown with Australia would be the biggest game of his career.

England flanker James Haskell has said that next Saturday's Rugby World Cup game against Australia would be the biggest of his career, should he be selected.

The 30-year-old made an appearance off the bench for Stuart Lancaster's side as they fell to a 28-25 loss at the hands of Wales in a crucial Pool A encounter.

England's match against the Wallabies is effectively a must-win showdown for the hosts' quarter-final hopes as a result, and Haskell is confident that the defeat to Wales will help to spur them on.

"If I'm involved I think it will be the biggest game of my career. We're obviously playing the World Cup in our country. We wanted to go to the final, tonight's been a setback, but it just makes us more hungry to go on and improve," he told Sports Mole.

England take on minnows Uruguay in their final Rugby World Cup group game on October 10.
