England coach Stuart Lancaster believes that his side will be "very difficult" to beat at Twickenham during the Rugby World Cup.

Stuart Lancaster has said that England will be a difficult team to beat at Twickenham during the Rugby World Cup.

The host nation beat Ireland 21-13 in their final warm-up match ahead of the tournament, which gets underway later this month.

The coach told reporters: "We're a very difficult team to beat [at Twickenham] because we've got a very good win ratio and the confidence is built from consistently playing well.

"It's not just the team spirit which obviously every team's got, but day in, day out I can see us defending well against each other in training, attacking well, and it's just putting all those bits and pieces together for the 80 [minutes] for seven games. That's the challenge within, but everyone's got that."

England will play three of their four Pool A fixtures at Twickenham, while facing Uruguay at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium in their final match.
