Andy Farrell confident of breaking Irish curse

Andy Farrell insists that England can put a stop to their poor recent run against Ireland at Twickenham.

Assistant coach Andy Farrell has insisted that England do not fear Ireland, despite their poor recent record against them.

England have lost seven of their last eight Six Nations games against the Irish, whom they face at Twickenham on Saturday evening.

However after breaking the form book to beat both Scotland and France this campaign, Farrell believes that England can continue to surprise people by overcoming the Irish challenge.

"Ireland have a good record here but that means nothing to this England group," said Farrell.

"We are aware of the record - like we were aware of the record at Murrayfield, the challenge of Rome, the form Wales were in and France's home run.

"There seems to be a challenge every single week but these boys aren't frightened of anything. We are up for any type of challenge. We don't know fear."

Farrell is likely to return to his coaching job at Saracens following the Six Nations campaign as England continue their search for a permanent coach.
