Owen Farrell says that there was nothing special about his own performance during England's win over Ireland in the Six Nations on Sunday.

England fly-half Owen Farrell has played down the importance of his own match-winning performance during his side's win over Ireland in the Six Nations.

The 21-year-old kicked all of the Red Rose's points to earn them a 12-6 victory at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday.

The visitors now find themselves at the top of the table, but Farrell insists that the performance of the team is what won his side the match.

"If you practise enough it is only another kick and it's no different in the stadium," Farrell told BBC Sport.

"It was a massive game and I'm really exited to come over here and get stuck into the game. The conditions weren't great but we rolled our sleeves up and got stuck in.

"The weather wasn't great but the little things helped you along and I thought we did the little things well out there."

England host France at Twickenham in their next match of the competition on February 23.
