Head coach Eddie Jones has praised England for their "resilience" during the 23-19 victory over Wales on Saturday evening.

England had been on course for a routine win having held a 17-0 advantage at half time, but Wales stormed back to go agonisingly close to pulling off a famous comeback.

Despite witnessing his team have to come through some tough moments, Jones was full of credit for his players as England moved to within four points of leaders France.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Jones told reporters: "Very good win for us. There was plenty of resilience and toughness.

"Had a period in 10 minutes where we were untidy in our defence then the last five minutes were were exceptional. There were some good signs out there tonight."

Earlier in the day, France posted a 36-17 win over Scotland, a result which Tartan Army skipper Stuart Hogg described as "absolutely horrible".
