Stuart Lancaster hints at starts for Geoff Parling, Tom Youngs against France

England may make a couple of changes to their team to face France on Saturday, says Stuart Lancaster.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has said that he expects to make just one or two changes for Saturday's Six Nations match with France.

England beat Scotland on Saturday to retain the Calcutta Cup, and they head into the game with France on top of the Six Nations table.

Lancaster's men have been criticised for their performance against Scotland, but he insists that he will stick with the majority of those players against the French.

He told reporters: "We've used 29 players so far and that consistency of selection has helped, but there are certainly one or two people from the bench who are putting their hands up.

"Geoff Parling and Tom Youngs did well. In fact the whole bench made an impact. Kieran Brookes was excellent. We've not made too many changes during the course of this championship because I think the team's been getting better.

"Our try scoring record [11] is almost double everyone else's. By and large we've got the right personnel. There might be one or two tweaks, but there won't be wholesale changes."

Victory on Saturday could see England win the Six Nations title for the first time since 2011.
