Former England flanker Tom Rees believes that head coach Stuart Lancaster is taking the national side in the right direction.
The Red Rose impressed in a 12-6 victory over Ireland in a Six Nations clash on Sunday.
"It does mark a step in the evolution of this team," Rees told BBC Radio Five Live. "Yes, Stuart Lancaster has been there for a while and has been putting things in place, but this was really the first time they have gone away, shown the grit and determination they have shown in some previous games, but come away with a victory and that was the most important thing yesterday."
England haven't won a Grand Slam since 2003.
